Privacy policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This policy explains what OriginEntry ("we", "us") collects when you visit the OriginEntry website, join the waitlist or use the free document check, what we do with it, and how to ask us to delete it. If anything is unclear, email [Contact email].

The short version

  • Join the waitlist and we keep your email and a few answers about your imports. Nothing else identifies you.
  • Upload a document to the free document check and we use it to make the result you see, then delete it.
  • We never sell personal information, never use your documents to train AI models, and set no advertising cookies.
  • Email us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

1. Who we are

OriginEntry is a company based in Florida, United States. It operates the OriginEntry website and the services described here. For anything in this policy, write to [Contact email].

2. What we collect, feature by feature

2.1 Visiting the site

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare records the address your connection comes from, the pages requested and the browser used, in server logs it keeps for a short time for security and troubleshooting.

We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, run by the company that hosts the site. It sets no cookies, stores no personal information and shows us only totals: how many people visited, which page, from which country and from which link. It does not follow you to other sites.

The pages load one font from Google Fonts. When the font loads, your browser sends your address to Google, which Google handles under its own privacy policy.

The site sets no cookies of its own. Your browser keeps two small items locally: the language you chose, so it stays chosen next time, and, for the current tab only, the tracking-link values from the link that brought you here and whether you ran the document check. The tab values disappear when you close the tab.

2.2 Joining the waitlist

When you submit the waitlist form we store one record with the following.

WhatWhy
Your email address, and whether it is a work or a personal addressTo send you the document checklist and early-access invitations
What you import and which countries your suppliers are in, if you answeredTo send the checklist that fits your goods, and to understand who is interested
The language you were reading the page inTo write to you in that language
The numbers you typed into the cost calculator, whether you changed them, and whether you tried the document checkTo learn which parts of the page are useful
The link that brought you here (campaign tags, the referring site, the landing page) and the time you submittedTo learn which channels reach importers, so we can stop spending on the others
The country your visit came from, as reported by Cloudflare, and your browser typeTo spot bots and fake signups
A one-way hash of your network address, made with a secret keyTo limit how many signups one address can send in ten minutes. We cannot turn the hash back into your address.

If you sign up twice with the same email we keep one record and update your answers. The record is stored in a Cloudflare database in the United States. When a signup arrives we may have an email with the same details sent to our own inbox through Resend, an email delivery service.

2.3 Using the free document check

The two sample documents on the document check page never leave your browser. If you upload your own file, this is what happens.

  1. Your browser sends the file, the language you said it is in, the language you are reading the page in and the same tracking-link values as the form, over an encrypted connection, to our server.
  2. Our server sends the file to [AI provider name], a paid business service, to read and translate it. Its business terms bar it from training models on your file. [State the provider's retention here, for example "It deletes the file once the request completes" or "It may keep the file for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring", with a link to its data terms.]
  3. The result comes back to your browser. We do not keep a copy of the translation or the extracted fields.
  4. Our server deletes your file as soon as the result has been produced, normally within minutes. The page shows a "File deleted after processing" label only after that deletion has happened. File contents are never written to logs.

We keep only a count of how many uploads succeed or fail. Nothing from inside your file is included.

2.4 The full application, when it launches

The full OriginEntry application is not open yet. When it opens, importers will create accounts and their suppliers will upload documents through private links. The same promise will apply: documents are used only to run the checks and build the importer's report, and every uploaded file is deleted once the report is ready. We will update this policy, and email everyone on the waitlist, before the application opens.

2.5 Email you send us

If you write to us, we keep the message and our reply for as long as we need them to handle your question and to keep a record of what was said.

3. What we use it for

  • Sending what you asked for: the checklist, early-access invitations and replies to your questions.
  • Producing the check result you requested.
  • Deciding whether to build the full product, and which channels and languages to invest in.
  • Keeping the site working and free of abuse.
  • Meeting legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decisions that affect you, and we do not use documents or signup details to train or improve AI models.

Where the law of your country requires a legal basis: we rely on your consent for the waitlist and for uploads, which you can withdraw at any time, and on our legitimate interest in running and protecting a small website for the rest.

4. Who else sees it

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for anyone else's marketing. These service providers process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit what they may do with it.

We will also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

5. How long we keep it

6. Where it is stored

Our systems are in the United States. If you are in another country, including Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on your consent for that transfer and, with our providers, on their standard data protection terms.

7. How we protect it

Every connection to the site is encrypted. The waitlist database is reachable only from our own code and with secret keys. Uploaded files are held only in memory or temporary storage for the length of one request and are never written to logs. Access to the signup list is limited to the people who run the company. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not upload anything you would not share with your customer's customs broker.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe. Reply "unsubscribe" to any email from us, or use the link in it, and we stop writing to you.
  • Delete. Email [Contact email] from the address you signed up with and we remove your waitlist record within 30 days.
  • See and correct. Ask, and we send you a copy of what we hold about you and fix anything that is wrong.
  • Browser data. Clear your browser's site data to remove the stored language choice and tab values.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict our processing, to data portability, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and you may exercise the rights above without being treated differently for doing so. We will not ask you for more information than we need to confirm it is really you asking.

9. Children

The site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Notice for suppliers who upload documents

This section is for factories and suppliers who are asked to upload documents. It is given in English, Chinese and Vietnamese. The English text governs.
